Cadillac Escalade V and US Trucks Now Available in the UK

London-based importer Clive Sutton has begun offering US-built Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles in the United Kingdom, including the massive Escalade SUV and a range of full-size pickup trucks. All vehicles come with a standard three-year manufacturer warranty, but buyers should be prepared for substantial running costs.

Ultra-Luxury SUVs: Escalade Models

The Escalade lineup begins with the Luxury Premium and Sport Premium trims, both priced at £149,950. These models feature a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 420 horsepower, three-row seating with captain’s chairs, semi-aniline leather interiors, premium audio systems, and 22-inch wheels as standard.

For those seeking even more space, the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV in Sport Platinum trim is available for £180,000. At 5,763mm long, it exceeds the length of even the extended-wheelbase Mercedes-Maybach S-Class by approximately 300mm.

High-Performance Escalade V

The flagship Escalade V pushes performance to the extreme, with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 685 horsepower and 885 Nm of torque. Priced at £199,950, this model is not for the fuel-conscious; it achieves a combined fuel economy of just 14.3 mpg and emits 469g/km of CO2 – the highest of any mainstream production car currently sold in the UK.

Chevrolet and GMC Alternatives

Beyond Cadillac, Clive Sutton is also importing Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, as well as GMC Yukon models, all equipped with the same naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 as the base Escalades. The Tahoe starts at £86,000, while the Yukon begins at £110,000.

Pickup Trucks Added to the Lineup

A selection of pickup trucks based on the same platform is also available, including the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, starting at £66,000 plus VAT. For off-road enthusiasts, the Silverado ZR-2, featuring increased ride height, locking differentials, and all-terrain tires, is priced at £75,000 plus VAT.

The introduction of these large American vehicles into the UK market caters to buyers who prioritize size, luxury, and power over fuel efficiency. These models represent a niche offering for those willing to pay a premium for the distinctive style and capabilities of American automotive engineering.
