Mercedes-AMG is developing an uncompromising new Black Series model, designed to exceed even its own performance benchmarks and directly challenge the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The upcoming Black Series will move beyond simply borrowing features from AMG’s GT3 race car. Under the hood, expect an updated version of the flat-plane-crank AMG V8 previously used in the last-generation GT Black Series, and slated for future AMG models like the CLE 63 S. Output is expected to surpass 800 horsepower—outperforming even the hybrid GT 63 S E Performance.
