How Gasoline Direct Injection Is Killing the Diesel Myth

You’ve been eyeing that Volkswagen Jetta TDI. The numbers are seductive. Nearly 50 mpg on the highway. That kind of efficiency usually demands a diesel powertrain, a mechanical beast known for torque and thrift. But before you sign the lease or hand over the keys, pause.
